We are thrilled to share that Most Holy Rosary School was featured in The Catholic Sun for our first annual Black History Month Celebration! This special event, held on February 28, brought together students, families, and faculty for an evening of music, dance, storytelling, and cultural appreciation.

The celebration highlighted the diversity within our school community and reinforced our commitment to inclusivity, love, and unity. Organized by a dedicated group of parents alongside Principal Sherri Stone, the event was a collaborative effort to go beyond classroom lessons and create a meaningful, school-wide experience. The night was filled with the vibrant beats of African drums, the energy of dance performances, and the delicious flavors of traditional ethnic foods.

Father Fred Mannara, pastor of Most Holy Rosary Church, was among those in attendance and shared his appreciation for the school’s welcoming atmosphere. He also acknowledged how the recent addition of over 40 students from Cathedral Academy at Pompei (CAP) has further enriched our community, strengthening the bonds between students.

Principal Stone emphasized the importance of events like this, stating, “We have such a diverse population in our school. We teach love and acceptance of everyone. I want to make sure that everyone is represented.”

We are incredibly proud that our celebration was recognized by The Catholic Sun and grateful for the opportunity to share our mission with a wider audience. This event is just the beginning, and we look forward to making it an annual tradition that continues to bring our community together in celebration and learning.
