Virtues Program
At Most Holy Rosary Elementary School, the Weekly Virtues Program serves as a cornerstone of both emotional and spiritual growth, playing a vital role in the development of our students. Each week, a new virtue such as kindness, honesty, or perseverance is introduced and incorporated into daily lessons. These virtues are integrated into classroom discussions, assignments, and real-life applications, helping students internalize and practice moral values within a faith-based context.
This program directly supports two of our Five Pillars: emotional and religious growth. Emotionally, the virtues help students build self-awareness and empathy by encouraging positive relationships and mindful behaviors. As students engage with these values, they learn to recognize the impact of their actions on others, cultivating a sense of responsibility and emotional intelligence. Spiritually, the virtues align with Catholic teachings, offering students a practical way to deepen their relationship with God by living out their faith in meaningful, everyday ways.
By focusing on both emotional and religious dimensions, the Weekly Virtues Program reinforces the holistic development of our students. It provides them with the tools to grow not just academically but also as compassionate, faith-driven individuals, prepared to make thoughtful, moral decisions in their lives.
