Fall Clothing Drive – Free for the Community

Most Holy Rosary Elementary School will host its Fall Clothing Drive on Sunday, October 19, from 1:00–3:00 PM in the school cafeteria.

This event is free and open to everyone, offering clothing for babies, children, teens, and adults in all seasons and styles. From everyday essentials to warm layers for fall and winter, families can find a wide variety of quality items at no cost.

No registration is required; stop by! The Fall Clothing Drive is part of MHR’s commitment to serving the community, supporting families, and promoting sustainability through reuse. All are welcome, spread the word, and join us!
Squeeze the Day! Lemonade Stand to Support Sarah’s Guest House

On Thursday, June 6^th, Most Holy Rosary Elementary School’s Student Council is putting compassion into action with a special after-school event to support a cause close to our hearts.

Join us for a Lemonade Stand in the back parking lot immediately after dismissal, with all proceeds going to benefit Sarah’s Guest House. This incredible local organization provides housing, meals, and support for families whose loved ones are in the hospital or undergoing long-term treatments in Syracuse.

Your support not only refreshes your afternoon—it helps bring comfort and care to families going through challenging times. Let’s show how sweet giving back can be!
Kick-Off St. Patrick’s Week with a Celebration for a Great Cause!

Supporting Father Champlin’s Guardian Angel Society

All proceeds from this event go to the Father Champlin’s Guardian Angel Society, which provides tuition assistance, mentorship, and tutoring to underprivileged youth. By attending, you’re making a direct impact on the lives of students in our community.

Be the Change for Hope: Most Holy Rosary Joins the Griffin’s Guardians Challenge

This February, Most Holy Rosary Elementary School is proud to participate in the Change for Hope Challenge, a fundraiser benefiting Griffin’s Guardians, a nonprofit organization dedicated to supporting families of children battling pediatric cancer.

This initiative is especially meaningful to our school community, as Griffin’s Guardians has directly helped families in our area. Now, it’s our turn to give back!

How Can Students Get Involved?

For the entire month, students are encouraged to bring in spare change and drop it in the Griffin’s Guardians Bucket in the office. Every penny, nickel, dime, and quarter adds up to make a difference for children and families facing unimaginable challenges.

Why It Matters

In 2024, 28 schools joined the campaign, raising over $28,000 in just one month. Since its inception, schools have contributed over $91,000, helping families across 17 counties in New York whose children are receiving care at Upstate Golisano Children’s Hospital.

This is more than just a fundraiser—it’s a chance for our students to show compassion, generosity, and the power of community.

Looking for an easy way to give back? The upcoming Bottle and Can Drive is a simple and impactful way to support our school while helping the environment. On Sunday, February 2nd, from 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM, bring your empty bottles and cans to the back parking lot. Our volunteers will handle the rest!

Why Participate
- Every donation adds up. The funds raised go directly to supporting important school programs and initiatives.
- It’s convenient. Just drop off your bottles and cans, and we’ll take care of the sorting and redeeming.
- You can help year-round. An open account at Western Lights Bottle Return allows you to continue donating to the school anytime. Simply mention the account name to contribute.

Spread Warmth This Winter: Donate to the Clothing Drive

With winter in full swing, there’s a growing need for warm clothing in our community. The Winter Clothing Drive is an opportunity to make a difference by donating gently used items that help keep children and families warm during the colder months.

We are looking for the following items:
- Coat
- Snowpants
- Insulated Gloves
- Boots
Donations can be dropped off anytime during school hours, 8:00 AM to 3:30 PM, now through Friday, February 7th. Please ensure all items are clean and free of holes or stains.

Every contribution, no matter the size, has a significant impact. Your kindness helps ensure that everyone has the gear they need to stay warm, safe, and active this season—whether it’s for recess, outdoor play, or simply braving the chilly weather.
