Our 5th grade students at Most Holy Rosary Elementary School will be taking the New York State Science Assessment on Thursday, May 22nd. This test is an opportunity for students to demonstrate what they’ve learned in science throughout the year—from ecosystems and energy to matter, weather, and the scientific method.
We are proud of how hard our students and teachers have worked to prepare. As we approach the testing date, we want to make sure each student feels confident, calm, and ready to shine!
Here are a few simple ways families can support their child the night before the test:
- Get a good night’s sleep: A rested brain is a ready brain! Try to stick to a consistent bedtime routine on Wednesday night.
- Eat a Healthy Breakfast: Fuel up with a breakfast; remember it’s the most important meal of the day. Breakfast will also be served in the morning at school.
- Relax and encourage: A little reassurance goes a long way. Remind your child that they are prepared, and it’s okay to take their time and do their best.
We believe in our students and know they’ll do a great job. Thank you, families, for being such strong partners in your child’s education. Let’s show what Most Holy Rosary students know—go 5th grade!
